Nil Bleu – Ethiopian Restaurant

1 Aug

Nil Bleu is an Ethiopian restaurant with beautiful decor. There’s even a piano at the back of the restaurant and guests can play during their visit (if they are good at it, obviously. :P).

A lot of the food are supposed to be eaten with hands! It’s really a fun experience.

I tried Assa Watt, which is sole cooked in Berberé sauce made with many different spices. It actually tastes a little bit like curry because of the strong, distinct flavor.  The dish is served with pancakes (which taste like crepes). Just take a piece of the pancake and roll up some fish and vegetables. Delicious!

Sorry for the comparison to other food, it’s a bit hard to explain without using examples. :) I’ve never had Ethiopian food before and this is definitely a unique experience!
